Children learn when they have positive experiences that are enhanced by personal and cultural context. However, without culturally responsive learning opportunities, children are left on empty and unable to incorporate this key achievement factor into their arsenal.
We recognize the truth that children who are underexposed to representative media are less likely to see themselves in places of power. Read About It is a children’s television series featuring representative literary arts within our community and connects audiences with literary resources supporting each episode specific themes. The show is packed with lessons improving learners’ vocabularies, engaging them in meaningful literary conversations, and encouraging positive perspectives on creative careers. 📚
